Hair oil treatment 1:
It is pretty uncool and greasy for us now-a-days to oil our hair often because we all have busy schedules,office,parties and we don’t want to end up looking greasy but we’ve heard it always from our mothers and grand mothers that water and oil are essential foods for our hair growth.And this is quite true.So,we must oil our hair sometimes in order to nourish it.
- To oil your hair you will need:
- Castor oil
- Coconut oil
- Sweet Almond oil
- Vitamin E oil(capsules)
- Neem oil
- Mustard oil
Now we need some ingredients like ginger juice,lemon juice,Fenugreek or methi seeds.Mix these oils in a glass bowl and add a few fenugreek seeds,lemon juice and ginger guice.Apply this oil on your scalp and length of your hair and message your scalp.You can also use the inversion method to message your scalp as it would increase the blood flow to your scalp and promote hair growth faster.If possible keep this oil overnight and rinse it off with shampoo the next day.Although personally I don’t shampoo my hair that often and prefer keeping the oil for atleast 2 to 3 days but you can do it according to your choise.
Hair oil treatment 2:
For this second treatment you will need:
Vitamin E oil(capsules)
Aloe Vera gel(preferably you can extract the gel from the plant because it works better than buying it)
Cut and mix 2 Vitamin E oil capsules into the amount of coconut oil you require to cover your entire hair and put some aloe vera pieces or peel the gel off the leaves if you want and heat it slightly.Store this oil in a glass container and you will notice the oil slowly turning slimy and the aloe vera gel turning darker and slimy.Apply this oil on your scalp and hair.This will make your hair soft,tangle and frizz free and will nourish your scalp.
Now let’s talk about a DIY shampoo that you can make in your home.This shampoo will clean your scalp and wash your hair keeping all the natural oils and sebum of your scalp intact and provide you hair the extra boost it needs.Unlike the shampoos in stores which contain sulphates and chemicals,this shampoo is absolutely natural…You will need…
Amla,Reetha,Shikakai.(you can buy the fruits or the powders from grocery stores)
Neem leaves or neem powder
Water(As per your hair length)
Soak the fruits or powders with the neem leaves in water and leave it overnight in a big steel container.Next day you will find that the fruits have turned soft enough that you can break them with your hands.Boil this mixture and then drain the water to separate it from the fruits or powder after it cools down.Mix a cup of beer in the water.Pour this water on your scalp and hair and gently rub and clean your scalp. Rinse your hair thoroughly with plain cool water after you are done.
NOTE:This shampoo has almost no froth.

Egg and curd mask:
For this mask you will need:
Curd or yogurt
Mix 2 eggs with curd or yogurt as per the quantity according to your hair.Mix it well and apply on your scalp mainly focusing on the length and ends of your hair strands.Keep this mask on for about 30 minutes and then wash thoroughly with cold water and shampoo of your choise.This mask will repair and cure split ends as well and nourish your hair.
Egg and olive/castor oil mask:
The ingredients you will need for this mask are:
Mix 2 eggs with 2 tablespoons of Castor or Olive oil and beat it well.Apply this mask on the scalp focusing on the length and ends.Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with cold water and shampoo.This mask will help in boosting up the hair growth and give volume to the hair.
1. Apple cider vinegar rinse:
• One cup of apple cider vinegar rinse
• 2-3 cups of distilled water.
Mix the water and the vinegar in a container and rinse your hair after shampooing your hair.You can also message it with your finger tips and never use your nails.Then rinse the hair properly with cool water.This will give your hair an amazing shine and bounce.This will also condition your hair.
Boil some rosemary leaves in a simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes in a steel pot of water and then leave it to cool.Transfer this water into a bottle or any container of your choice.After you are done with your shower(shampoo and conditioning)pour this rinse into your hair,specially the scalp and do not rinse it out.Just let it air dry and normally comb or style your hair.This will leave your hair shiny,amazing and will smell wonderful.Rosemary has many benefits for the hair such as curing dryness and itching of the scalp and is also a great cure for treating dandruff…lastly it aids in hair growth by stimulating blood flow to the scalp making it healthier…
Coconut milk conditioning:
Coconut milk is a liquid extracted from grated coconut. Due to its rich and creamy consistency, it is often used as a substitute for milk. It is often used as a common food ingredient.Coconut milk is rich in vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6 as well as iron,calcium,selenium, magnesium and phosphorus and essential fats. Thus, this sweet milky liquid has great dietary as well as beauty benefits.
Just like coconut oil, coconut milk can nourish your hair in many ways…
It provides a rich source of proteins and vitamins essential for hair growth.
Coconut milk nourishes and moisturizes the scalp and the hair that is from the roots to the tips.
Coconut oil prevents balding.
Coconut milk is a very nourishing conditioner and removes dryness and frizz.It also helps in detangling your hair.
It makes your hair longer and thicker.
Promoted hair growth.
How to apply coconut milk on scalp:
Extract some coconut milk from the grated coconut and apply it on your scalp and message for 4 to 5 minutes and leave it on for about 20 minutes to 30 minutes and then shampoo.
How to make coconut milk at home:
You will need:
One coconut .
Cut out some coconut from the shell using a knife or scrape out some coconut shreds using a coconut peeler.If you cut out coconut pieces using a knife then cut it into smaller pieces and please be careful and don’t hurt yourself.Put the pieces of coconut in a blender or mixer and add coconut water and 2 tablespoon of milk for a smoother paste and make a paste.Then strain out the coconut milk from the paste by using a cotton cloth and press the cloth very hard so that you get all the milk out of the paste.Store this milk in a cool place.
DIY Hair spray for glowing,shiny,manageable and voluminous hair :
You will need:
Aloe vera gel.
Filtered or mineral water.
Rose water or Lavender essential oil.
How to apply:
Take one tablespoon of aloe vera gel,mix one tablespoon of lemon juice,few drops of rose water or lavender oil and half tablespoon of glycerine and pour them in the spray bottle.Add some mineral water in the spray bottle and shake and mix it well.The water will be bubbly.Spray it all over your hair after shampooing and leave it to air dry.After your hair has dried,comb it well.
This will add shine and glow to your hair.This will help you to easily de tangle your hair when you brush it and make it manageable and frizz free as well as add volume and bounce to your hair…
Store the spray in a cool place.
19 do’s and donts’s of hair care:
2.Give your hair and scalp an oil message atleast thrice a week and honestly,try to keep that oil as long as you can on your hair.
3.Rinse your hair with cold water always.Never use warm or hot water to wash your hair as it can cause over porous hair,dryness and frizz.Cold water locks moisture.
4.Comb your hair from the bottom and then go upwards as this makes it easier for us to de tangle the hair and pulls out lesser hair from the scalp and makes the hair less brittle.
5.Never use blow dryers or heats to dry your wet hair.In our busy lifestyles we have no time to air dry our hair.But that is one big damage that we do to our hair.Try to use less heat as much as possible or best would be to use no heat at all.
6.Just let your manes air dry naturally.
7.Use wide toothed wooden combs to brush your hair.
8.You don’t need to brush your hair frequently because more brushing leading to blood circulation is a myth and so brush your hair minimally only to detangle it or to style it but use a proper brush that is a wooden one.
9.Don’t comb your hair while it is still wet because hair is at it’s weakest while wet and breaks off easily.Wait for it to dry and then comb it.
10.Don’t wash your hair daily.It sounds gross but it keeps your hair healthier.
11.Use conditioner after shampooing.
12.Always tie your hair before you go to bed as this will protect your hair from getting rubbed and causing frizzes and split ends as well as breakage.(Preferably a bun or braid would be the safest hairstyles.
13.Always use sulphate free shampoos.
14.Clean your comb with warm soapy water when it needs to be cleaned.
15.Don’t tie your hair too tightly.
16.The beauty of your hair is not determined by the length,if you are more into having a short hair length then just focus on keeping it healthy.if you are more into having a longer hair then investing in a good hair cut is much more important because my personal advice would be that you should style your hair from the front if you want but keep an even cut at the back(length)of your hair because a straight or evenly cut length influences a much faster & better hair growth & reduces the risk of having more split ends.
17.Last but not the least,keep it healthy…
Drink lots of water(preferably 8 glasses a day)and eat foods which is high in vitamin C,iron and proteins.Foods like eggs,fish,meat,cereals,nuts,greek yogurt,fruits rich in vitamin C,spinach,guava,pomegranates.
18.Use hair cap after oiling your hair or after putting any mask in your hair & scalp because it gives better results to cover the scalp & hair after treating it & prevents any mess or dripping of products from the scalp to the body.
19.Use scarves,caps & protective hair styles before going out in the day light to protect your hair from sunrays,pollution,heat&dust.
